Another day, another zero.
It happens from time-to-time with the Tampa Bay Rays. They’ll be playing games, running in place, and then it happens. The bats turn into toothpicks. The offense goes into hiding. And, once again, the Rays can’t get out of their own way.
It was that way Sunday, when they lost 2-0 and had just four hits. It was that way Saturday, too, when they lost 6-1 with only six hits. They were one-for-15 with men in scoring position over the two games.

And, yeah, they lost both games. They are now 73-77 on the season.
Taj Bradley started for the Rays and, despite taking his seventh straight loss, had one of his better games. But he gave up a run-scoring simgle to Brayan Rocchio in the second and another run on a double steal by Angel Martinez. Ben Lively went five innings for his 12th win.
Brandon Lowe had two of the Rays’ four hits.
Tampa Bay is off until Tuesday, when the Boston Red Sox visit Tropicana at 6:50 p.m.
