In other team news:
— Yandy Diaz won the AL batting title when he sat out the season finale.
— Isaac Paredes fell short in his quest for 100 RBI. He finished with 98.
— The team set a franchise record with 230 home runs.
Such achievements were season-long, however. For the final day, the Rays won behind six RBI from Jonathan Aranda, who had a grand slam in the seven-run second inning.
The Rays had 16 hits, including three by Aranda, three by Raimel Tapia and two by Junior Caminero, Harold Ramirez and Rene Pinto.
Neither team pitched a front-line starter. Jacob Lopez won the game for the Rays.
The Rays plan to start Tyler Glasnow Tuesday.
