More than ever, the USF women's basketball team is in the pink.
The Bulls, ranked 22nd in the country, honored breast cancer awareness, cruised to their 21st victory over the season, beating SMU 65-54. Maria Jesperson had 28 points and 10 rebounds for the Bulls.

"I thought defensively, you go into the locker room holding a team to 18 points in a half and I thought we were good. Hand it to Travis and SMU in the second half.”
USF led only 22-18 after the first half in which the teams combined to shoot 21 percent, but outscored SMU 23-13 in the third quarter. Jesperson scored 10 of her points in the period.
Jespersen also had 10 rebounds, giving her 809 over her career. She became the sixth player in program history to score 1,000 points and get 800 rebounds.
Katija Laksa scored 16 points for the Bulls.
USF is now 12-0 against SMU. The Bulls play in Orlando Sunday against UCF. Game time is noon.
