Kucherov leads Lightning’s comeback win

Whether in Vegas or not, Nikita Kucherov is always the best bet for the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Kucherov helped the Bolts to a comeback win, 6-3 over the Las Vegas Knights Thursday night. Kucherov scored twice in the third period to lead the win after the Knights jumped to a 2-0 lead. Las Vegas outshot the Bolts 15-3 in the first period.

The Bolts outscored the Knights 6-1 after their bad start. Tampa Bay has now won six of its last seven games.

Kucherov, who also had an assist, now has seven goals on the season.

Brandon Hagel also scored two goals, including an empty-netter.

The Bolts got a first-ever goal from Dominic James (who also had two assists). Gage Goncalves also scored his first goal of the season.

Goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy saved 29 of 32 shots.

The Bolts' killed a four-minute minor penalty and a two-minute minor in the third period.

The Bolts are home on Saturday night at Benchmark International Arena against the Washington Caps.
