In the smallest of moments, the biggest moments of clarity can occur.

And so it was that Rays' outfielder Kevin Kiermaier stood, watching his teammates take batting practice while he waited for his turn. A few sharply hit mortars off the bat of Desmond Jennings, with that distinctive hitter's ricochet of his, and this dawned on Kiermaier.
