Wednesday, 8 a.m.

The worst of all years was hopeless.

In the worst of all years, the Tampa Bay Bucs were lost. They were weak on offense, and inconsistent on defense, and overwhelmed on almost every play. One week was more miserable than the rest, and the quarterback was without answers, and the coach was without clues.

That interception looked like this one, and that fumble was a match for this one, and that holding penalty wasn't a lot different than this one.

In other words, then felt a lot like now.
