It’s true the games will get tougher. It’s true that USF’s first opponent didn’t measure up. But it’s also true that USF hasn’t been very good for a while. So let the Bulls enjoy their 48-3 victory over Bethune-Cookman.
Besides, next week inlcudes a trip to Tuscaloosa to play the University of Alabama. So people won’t make fun of the Bulls’ opponents for very long.
USF dominated Saturday night, giving up only three points on a long field goal.
Sure, the Bulls have thngs to clean up. But quarterback Byrum Brown threw for 152 yards and ran for 74. The team had five rushing touchdowns. And if you can believe early impressions, hte defense will complete much better than it did a year ago.
USF led 14-0 after one quarter, 31-3 at the half and 48-3 after three quartes. Brown didn’t play in the fourth, and the Bulls didn’t run up the score.
In all, the Bulls had the ball 15 minlutes fewere than Bethune-Cookman.
Now comes a trip to visit the Tide, which struggled to beat the Bulls last year. Saturday night, however, Alabama tooked good in a 63-0 win over Bowling Green.
