In the end, the Tampa Bay Rays simply didn’t have enough offense to put together a seven-game winning streak.

The Rays managed just six hits in absorbing a 4-2 loss to the Minnesota Twins. The loss left the Rays at 27-27 on the season.

The Rays have had a good run at it lately, but they’ve done it with limited offense. The Rays have scored three or fewer runs in seven of their last 10 games.

Tampa Bay starter Taj Bradley gave up single runs in the first and second innings, but pitched well afterward. He went seven innings and gave up just the two earned runs and five hits.

Still, the Rays didn’t score. Both Jonathan Aranda and Brandon Lowe each had two hits, but the rest of the lineup added just two more. Jose Caballero’s deep fly out to left field was the team’s final out.

Joe Ryan, once a Rays’ minor leaguer, upped his record to 5-2. He went six innings and gave up just one earned run.

The Rays and Twins conclude their three-game series today at 1:10 p.m. at Steinbrenner Field. Drew Rasmussen will start for the Rays against Pablo Lopez.
