The Tampa Bay Rays started fast in Sunday’s 6-3 victory over the Seattle Mariners. They scored three runs on the game’s first 11 pitches and coasted to their 88th win of the season.

After four straight come-from-behind victories, it was a welcome change for the Rays. Yeah, the team has come back in 33 games, but it’s won 55 when that hasn’t been needed.
Zach Eflin won his league-tying 14th game, although he wasn’t particularly sharp. He gave up seven hits and three runs in his five innings. The bullpen, however, gave up no runs on just two hits to nail the win down.
Josh Lowe had three hits and Yandy Diaz had two for the Rays. Harold Ramirez and Luke Raley both had two-run doubles.
The Rays now travel to Minnesota to play the Twins at 7:40 p.m. tonight. Tyler Glasnow is scheduled to start for the Rays against Sonny Gray.
