Rays finish season on a losing note

They ended up losing, again. They ended up not scoring. They ended up not driving in runs when they were in scoring position. They ended up…not enough.

Which, you know, is fitting.

The Rays lost 3-1 to Boston in the season’s final game, and it resembled a lot of the 82 times the Rays had been beaten this year. The team managed just eight hits, and they were one-for-eight with runners in scoring position.

The Red Sox used two errors and a fielder’s choice to score their runs.

The Rays got three hits from Dylan Carlson and two from Christopher Morel.

Ryan Pepiot took the loss to finish 8-8.
