Welcome back, Josh Lowe.
Lowe, on the injured list since Opening Day, made some noise on his return to the lineup of the Tampa Bay Rays, as he had three hits and a home run to lead his team to an 8-3 victory. It was the Rays’ fourth straight series win on the road.
It was the second offensive outburst in their three games. The Rays scored 11 runs on Tuesday.
Lowe wasn’t the only offensive producer. Brandon Lowe had three hits, two of them home runs. Jose Caballero and Danny Jansen had two hits in the team’s 14-hit attack.
Zack Littell went 7 1/3 innings. He gave up three home runs (Addison Barger, Vlad Guerrero and Nathan Lukes) but no other runs. Littell is 3-5 on the season.
The Rays got 10 hits and six earned runs off Jays’ starter Kevin Gausman.
Tampa Bay is 20-23 on the season.
The Rays travel to Miami to face the Marlins in a three-game series. Taj Bradley will start against Max Meyer in tonight’s 7:10 p.m.
