Hey, didn’t you used to be Doug Martin?

in Tampa Bay Bucs

TAMPA

Looking back, no one remembers the details of his features.

That’s because, for the longest time, Doug Martin was a blur.

Back when he was a rookie, no one saw Martin standing still. He was always in motion - so good,  so fast, so elusive -- that it seemed as if the Tampa Bay Bucs were onto something. There for a while, Martin was the human highlight reel, cutting through Vikings, running past Raiders. Carolina couldn’t slow him down, and Philadelphia wasn’t as much as a speed bump. Atlanta had no idea what to do with him.

Martin was going to be Ray Rice. Heck, he was going to be Emmitt Smith. He was going to visit end zones across the league. He looked like he was going to be one of the top five backs in the league for a decade.

You remember.

Perhaps, you wonder whatever happened to him.
