The Taj Bradley Ace Train continued to roll Thursday. From the looks of it, it’s picking up speed.
For the eighth straight game, Bradley was almost untouchable on the mound in a 13-0 victory over Toronto. He allowed just two hits, and he increased his scoreless streak to 23 straight. In his last eight games, Bradley is 5-0, and he has started three games that ended in shutouts.
Bradley allowed two hits in the first inning, then threw no-hit baseball until he departed.
It was a rare runaway win for the Rays, who led just 3-0 in the fifth and had just five hits. But the Rays scored four times in the sixth and five morein the seventh to run away with it.
Brandon Lowe was four-for-four with two walks. He had two doubles and a homer and improved his average to .251. It was his 12th homer of the year.
Amed Rosario had three hits. Isaac Paredes and Alex Jackson both had two as the Rays had 16 hits, double what they had in the first two games combined.
The Rays, who have struggled with runners in scoring position, were eight-for-17 on Thursday,
