They came back from a run down. Then they came back from two runs down. Then they came back from three runs down.
So how could the Tamlpa Bay Rays not win this one?
Yandy Diaz slapped a 1-2 pitch to right field in the ninth inning to bring home the winning run in the Rays' 7-6 victory over San Francisco Friday night.
Diaz had two RBI for the night, giving him 69 for the season. His personal best was 78 in 2022.
It was an uphill scramble for the Rays, who fell behind 1-0 in the first, 3-1 in the second and 6-3 in the third. Each time, the Rays came back.
The Giants jumped on Rays' starter Joe Boyle, who gave up four hits and four runs in two innings. Boyle has gotten to the fourth inning only once in his four starts.

His best moment came in the eighth when he worked his way out of a bases-loaded, nobody out situation with a line-drive out and two ground balls.
Pete Fairbanks had his 21st save.
Chandler Simpson had three hits for the Rays to improve his average to .307. Diaz and Jake Mangum each had two hits.
The Rays and Giants play again tonight at 9:05 p.m. Adrian Houser will start for the Rays against Justin Verlander.
