This time, the comeback was better than the collapse.
One inning, it was Caminero. The next, it was Caballero.
Together, they meant victory.
Jose Caballero, the Rays’ infielder, hit a two-run homer in the top of the 10th inning Saturday night to lead the Rays to a 9-8 victory over the Las Angeles Dodgers. The win came after the Rays had blown a 4-0 lead, one day after they had blown a 3-0 lead.

For a while, it looked as if it would happen again, especially after the Rays loaded the bases with no one out in the eighth inning butscored just one run. That left them behind 7-5 in the ninth inning.
The Rays comeback started with rookie Junior Caminero, who hit a 3-2 pitch 414 feet to tie the game.
An inning later, Jose Caballero hit a 1-1 pitch 381 feet off of Dodger reliever Joe Kellt. Ghost runner Jonny DeLuca was on base as Caballero hit it.
Caminero had three hits (and five in the last two games) to lead the Rays. Yandy Diaz, Brandon Lowe, DeLuca and Caballero all had two hits.
Rays’ reliever Garrett Cleavinger earned his fourth save by working through the 10th against Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman.
The win moved the Rays back above .500 at 65-64.
The teams play again tonight at 4:10 p.m. Jacob Lopez will start for the Rays against Gavin Stone.
