Here’s how you know that a team is an underdog.
It’s when every area of one football team is superior to another’s.
Quarterback? Check. Defense? Check. Tight end? Check. The record? Check. And so on.
The Kansas City Chiefs, 2024 edition, are a better football team than the Tampa Bay Bucs. Their record is better.
They’re at home. Their pass rush is better. The head coach is better. Given the health of the Bucs’ receivers, even the wideouts are better.
So what kind of chance does that give the Bucs on Monday night?
Unless they’re perfect, not much.
Look, the Bucs have beaten some talented teams (Detroit, Philadelphia). But they haven’t faced anything like Kansas City.

For the Bucs to win this one, they have to be perfect, and they have to get some breaks.
Probably, it won’t happen.
