There isn't much secret about the success of Brandon Lowe.

The guy has had a healthy season. That means numbers.

Lowe hit a double and a home run Wednesday night to help cap a solid season. He's often finished with impressive statistics, but time lost due to injury has limited them.

Consider this. Only twice in his career has Lowe played more than 109 games. In those two seasons, he's had 39 homers and, this year, 31. In those two years, Lowe has had 99 RBI and, this year, 83.

Lowe's bat helped the Rays to a 6 -2 win over Baltimore. The Rays scored single runs in six innings.

Lowe doubled in Chandler Simpson in the first. Hunter Feduccia doubled in Richie Palacios in thethe second. Lowe homered in the third.

In the sixth, Palacios scored on an error. Junior Caminero's grounder brought in Simpson. In the eighth, Jake Mangum hit his third home run of the season.

For the game, Palacious had three hits. Simpson and Lowe had two.

Simpson is now hitting .300 for the season.

Shane Baz pitched four innings of no-hit, shutout baseball. The Orioles didn't get a hit unil the seventh inning (off Griffin Jax, the fourth Rays' pitcher.

Reliever Edwin Uceta got the win, his 10th of the season.

The Rays and Orioles play for the final time of the season today at 1:05 p.m. Drew Rasmussen will start for the Rays against Cade Povich.
