Bolts win fifth in a row behind third period

The winning streak has come as suddenly as the questions of whas wrong.

These days, the Tampa Bay Lightning has that look of the glory days.

The Bolts won their fifth straight game Sunday afternoon, holding off the Utah Mammoth by a 4-2 score.

Utah tied the game at 2 on a shot by Kailer Yamamoto early in the third period. The Lightning, however, came back with a tie-breaking shot by Jake Gienzel with 12:06 to play.

Brandon Hagel scored his fourth goal on an empt netter with 16 seconds left to play.

Goaltender Jonas Johansson had 25 saves on 27 shots against Utah, which fell for the first time on home ice in five games. The Mammoth is 8-4 on the season.

"I was worried," said Lightning coach Jon Cooper. "I remembver when we came in here last year and they tore us apart. For us, the key was protecting the middle of the ice. I thought we did a good job of that."

Yanni Gourde scored the Bolts' first goal of the game. Anthony Cirelli scored his seventh to give Tampa Bay a 2-1 lead in the second period.

The Bolts travel to play Colorado on Tuesday night at 9:30 p.m.
