It has gone beyond a bad start.
For now, the Tampa Bay Lighting is a bad team.
The sliding Bolts fell to 1-4-2 on the season Friday night, losing a 3-2 game to the Chicago Blackhawks.
The Bolts, who are 0-3 at home, got off 31 shots. Only two of those found the net, however.
Chicago's Ryan Donato scored the winning goal with 53 seconds left on a long rebound. He guided the shot past Andrei Vasilevskiy, who fell to 0-5 (two overtime losses). It was Donato's second goal of the game.
Tampa Bay never led. Jake Guentzel tied the game at 1-1 for the Bolts with a goal in the second period. After the Bolts feel behind 2-1, Ryan McDonough tied the same with 42 seconds left in the second period.
Both goals featured assists by Nikita Kucherov, who now has 999 points for his career.
The Lightning is home on Saturday at 5 p.m. against Anaheim.
