Remember all the cheers that FSU was back after their season-opening win over Alabama?

Well, never mind.

The Seminoles lost their third straight game Saturday, falling to Pittsburgh and freshman quarterback Mason Heintschel, 34-31. The Panthers outscored FSU 20-3 in the second half.

Heintschel hit 21 of 29 passes for 321 yards. As a team, the Panthers had 472 yards of total offense.

FSU quartereback Tommy Castellanos hit 16 of 23 passes for 245 yards and three touchdowns, including a 58-yard score to Micahi Danzy to bring the Notes to within three with 1:45 to play. Pitt recovered the onside kick, however.

Danzy caught sevenpasses for 133 yards for FSU.

FSU might have had the best opening-weekend win when it beat Alabama. Since then, however, the Noles have beaten only East Texas and Kent State. They have lost to Virginia, Miami and Pitt in a row.

FSU travels to Stanford on Saturday at 10:30 p.m.

Texas A&M 34, Florida 17: The public flogging of Gators' head coach Billy Napier may now commence.

When the Gators upset Texas a week ago, it might have brought some peace to Napier. But the criticism is sure to commence after the Gators were thumped by the 5th-rated Aggies.

A&M rolled up 417 yards of total offense. They stopped Florida on nine of 10 third-down attempts (and one fourth-down attempt) to win.

The Aggies had 183 yard rushing.

Florida quarterback D.J. Lagway threw for 245 yards and two scores. But the Gators gained just 74 yards rushing on 24 attempts.

The Gators, 2-4 on the season, are home on Saturday at 4:15 p.m. against Mississippi State.
