A dismal year had a bit of sunshine peak through for the Florida Gators Saturday.

The Gators, off to a 1-3 start with mounting pressure on head coach Billy Napier, had their finest hour in a 29-21 upset win over ninth-ranked Texas.

Quarterback D.J. Lagway, who had been turnover-prone for Florida, threw for 298 yards and two touchdowns in the victory.

Both of his scoring passes wen tot Dallas Wilson, who caught six passes for 111 yards. Running back Jadan Baugh rushed 38 times for 107 yards.

Texas quarterback Arch Manning threw for 263 yards and ran for 38. But he was sacked six times and intercepted twice. The Longhorns rushed for only 15 yards except for Manning.

The Gators travel to play Texas A&M next week.

Miami 28, FSU 22: When deciding the nation's No. 1 football team, perhaps you want to consider the Miami Hurricanes.

At the moment, howewer, they're a little weary.

Miami held off FSU's furious fourth quarter Saturday night, beating the Seminoles' 28-22.

The Hurricanes held a 28-3 lead after three periods. Quarterback Carson Beck threw for four touchdowns. Receiver Malachi Toney had caught seven passes for 107 yards and two scores. The game seemed well-in-hand for the No. 3 team in the nation.

FSU came roaring back, however. Quarterback Tommy Castellonos led the Seminoles to 19 fourth-quarter points, however. He led FSU to two touchdowns, two two-point conversions and a field goal.

FSU had been ranked 18th in the country. The Noles, however, have lost two in a row and don't have an impressive win since beating Alabama in the season opener.

For the quarter, Castellanos hit 15 of 22 passes (plus the two two-point conversions) for 150 yards.

The Seminoles try to get back on track Saturday in a home game at noon. Miami is home on Friday night against Louisville.
