Well, there was a home series to forget.
The Rays were Bronx-bombed again Wednesday night. They were a murdered row. For two games, they were bludgeoned, battered and bruised.
The New York Yankees hit five more home runs in a 6-4, 10-inning win over the Rays. They threw a perfect game against the Rays for six innings. And when the Rays finally showed a little life and tied the game late, the Yankees merely hit two more home runs in the 10th inning to run away with the game.

Facing Pete Fairbanks, the Rays' closer, Giancarlo Stanton hit a two-run homer and Austin Wells hit a solo shot, his second of the game, to re-establish the Yankees' lead.
The Rays came back on a solo home run by Bob Seymour, his first in the majors, and a two-run double by Hunter Feduccia. Seymour singled in another run in the 10th.
The Yankees wasted no time getting the lead back. Stanton homered on a full count. Wells followed with a back-to-back home run.
The Rays had runners reach second and third with on one out in the bottom of the 10th, but Devin Williams struck out Chandler Simpson, Yandy Diaz and Brandon Lowe.
The Rays comeback was fueled by by Seymour (who entered hitting .111), Feduccia (hitting .160) and Tristan Gray (hitting .071).
The Rays are home at Steinbrenner Field against St. Louis tonight at 7:30 p.m. Joe Boyle will start for the Rays against Sonny Gray.
