Ditto.
Yep, the Tampa Bay Rays liked their previous day’s victory over the Oakland A’s so much, they repeated it on Wednesday night. Once again, they had solid pitching. Once again, they didn’t hit a lot.
And once again, Jose Siri showed up when it counted.
Siri, who had been on an eight-game hitless streak before a home run on Tuesday won the game, did it again Wednesday. He hit a two-run homer in the seventh inning for the difference in a 4-2 victory.

Siri hit his 16th homer of the season. His average is up to .199 after falling to .163.
The Rays have now won five of their last six games. They’re 64-62 on the season.
Ryan Pepiot went six innings and allowed two earned runs. He allowed a homer by J.J. Bleday and a run-scoring single by Brent Rooker in the sixth. But Pepiot struck out five over six innings and won on his 27th birthday.
The Rays scored on a groundout from Jonny DeLuca and a double by Yandy Diaz before Siri’s two-run shot. Siri was the only Rays’ player with two hits.
Tampa Bay reliever Drew Rasmussen struck out Rooker with the bases loaded in the seventh.
The Rays and A’s play again today at 3:37 p.m. Jeffrey Springs will start for the Rays against Osvaldo Bido.
