You'll talk about the catch. The terrific turning, diving, sprawling catch by Jose Siri hat ended the game.

You won't talk about the dropped popup by Brandon Lowe that allowed the Boston Red Sox to tie the game.

You'll talk about Harold Ramirez, and how his two-run double in the ninth inning broke open a tight game Saturday night and allowed the Rays to win a 4-2 game.

You'll talk about the hope that Tyler Glasnow brings, and how he left the game with a lead in the sixth inning.

You won't talk about a leaky bullpen, including a dumpster fire set by Jalen Beeks in the first game.

That's what winning does. It gives a team an eraser to all of its shortcomings. A win allows you to forget the Rays had been 2-4 in their previous half-dozen games. It allows you to forget that the bullpen is being held together by duct tape and twine.

Ah, but winning feels good. Especially when it’s highlighted by plays such as those by Siri and by Ramirez.

Siri, remember, didn't start the game. He came on as a pinch-hitter, and he gave the Rays a 2-1 lead with a double. But after Jason Adam had trouble in the ninth, Siri saved the game with his diving catch off the bat of Jarren Duran.

Ramirez had three hits in the game and five for the double header.

The Rays lost the first game of the doubleheader, 8-5. On the way, they blew a 4-0 lead to the Red Sox.

Boston scored six times in the sixth inning, most of the damage coming against Rays' reliever Jalen Beeks. Beeks, excellent in his previous outing, lasted only two-thirds of an inning but gave up six runs, four hits and two walks.

z'yhe command wasn’t there," Rays' manager Kevin Cash said. "They do damage. No doubt, te’re good hitters.

"Pitching is count control. If you can control the count or get ahead of guys you're giving ourself a better chance for success. Today, it was a challenge for him."

Wander Franco had three hits for the Rays, including two doubles. Yandy Diaz also had two doubles and Harold Ramirez had two singles. However, the bottom four batters in the Rays' lineup were just one-fot-15.

Tampa Bay plays the Red Sox again today at Fenway Park at 1:35 p.m. Taj Bradley will start for the Rays against Tanner Houck.
