The Florida Gators seem to be finishing Billy Napier's first season with a rush.

The Gators, 6-4, gave up only a touchdown on a fake punt.

Florida is at Vanderbilt Saturday at noon.

FSU 38, Syracuse 3: As it turns out, Jordan Travis can do almost anything on a football field. Except for play int ethe fourth quarter.

Jordan had one of the memorable nights of his career Saturday, throwing three touchdown passes, running for one and catching one in a lopsided win over Syracuse. He hit 21 of his 23 pass attempts.

The Orange, who were 6-0 at one point this season, continued their slide.

The Seminoles' Trey Benson ran 18 times for 161 yards.

The Seminoles, 7-3, are home against the University of Louisiana Saturday at noon.

SMU 41, USF 23: Turns out, USF has problems a lot deeper than the head coach.

The firing of coach Jeff Scott didn't help Saturday in the Bulls' 41-23 loss to SMU. The Bulls gave up 553 yards and 24 second half points to fall to 1-9.

Interim coach Daniel Da Prato was able to infuse his team with some first half energy -- a 17-17 tie -- but the Bulls couldn't keep up with the explosive Mustangs.

The Bulls had been only 4-26 under former coach Scott. Saturday just demonstrated how far the Bulls have to go.

Brian Battie rushed for 145 yards for the Bulls. Both Camarda Wheaton and Tyler Lavine had 112 for SMU. Quarterback Tanner Mordecai threw for 280 yards and two touchdowns.

USF quarterback Katravis Marsh threw for 178 yards before leaving with an injury.

USF is on the road against Tulsa Friday night at 9 p.m.

Miami 35, Georgia Tech 14: Whenever the Hurricanes put the ball in the air Saturday, good things happened.

Whenever Georgia Tech put the ball in the air, good things happened for the Hurricanes, too.

Miami, playing behind backup quarterback Jacurri Brown, rolled to an easy win over Tech on Saturday. Brown, playing in place of injured Tyler Van Dyke, threw for three touchdowns in the game.

Just as key, however, was a Miami secondary that intercepted four passes, including one by Kamren Kinchens that was returned 99 yards for Miami's final touchdown.

Brown threw touchdowns of 22, 4 and 8 yards as the Hurricanes improved their record to 5-5 on the season.

Miami travels to play Clemson on Saturday.
