Rays down to a surprising trio to manage

in Tampa Bay Rays

No Dave Martinez.

No Charlie Montoyo.

No Barry Larkin.

No fooling?

The Tampa Bay Rays whittled their list of candidates to three finalists Friday evening, and if you successfully picked the last three standing, then the team should hire you immediately. Because you know what the front office is thinking, which evidently, no one else in Tampa Bay does.

Really?

The Rays are now down to Kevin Cash, and Don Wakamatsu, and Raul Ibanez, in whatever order, to become their new Joe Maddon. Which means, frankly, that someone must have an extra sheet in their resume that the rest of us don’t know about.
