The USF men's basketball team toyed with Howard for a few minutes, but not much more than that.
The Bulls (3-2) used a 17-1 run late in the first half en route to a 75-52 victory. USF hit a season-high 11 three-pointers in its win.

Gregory. "Our big guysdid a great job. To hold that team to 33 percent, 13 from the three, any way you slice it, it was a great defensive effort. And to force 19 turnovers, we were very active defensively. A lot of deflections, a lot of loose balls that we came up with, which created some easy baskets for us."
USF held Howard to three-of-23 from beyond the arc and scored 24 points on Howard's 19 turnovers.
Steven Jiggits hit four of five three- pointers and finished with 16 points. Payton Banks also had four three pointers and finished with 14 points. Tulio Da Silva had 10 points, and Curtis Samuels had nine points and four assists.
USF plays Arkansas State at noon on Friday.
