The Predictions: USF has to be focused

Not yet. Don't think about it. Concentrate on the goal at hand.

It's Tulsa time. Right?

For the USF Bulls, the goal tonight will be not to worry about next week's game at Central Florida. That game will come soon enough. But it will only be  as important as it can be if the Bulls get past the two-win Hurricanes.

Frankly, Tulsa's record is a bit of a mirage. The team ran all over

Houston in a 45-17 game. Yep, the same Houston team that upset the Bulls. It isn't as if Tulsa doesn't have any ability.

Chief of those is running back D'Angelo Brewer, who has 1,099 yards on the season. But Tulsa has given up more than 40 points six times this season -- and more than 50 four times.

Still, it will be hard to keep from looking ahead to the trip to No. 14 Central Florida. Don't be surprised if it's close for a while.

Prediction: USF 37, Tulsa 20

UAB at Florida

This time, the Gators should finally have an opponent outnumbered. Against UAB, the Gators should look fast and well coached. Quarterback Feleipe Franks should out-talent its opponent.

In other words, look for a big win by the Gators. Still, it won't forgive the previous part of the season.

Prediction: Florida, 40-10

Delaware State at FSU

Are you ready for this? FSU is a 55 1/2-point favorite over Delaware State, a 2-8 team from MEAC. Keep in mind, that's almost twice as much as the Seminoles have scored in any game on offense all year.

FSU should win big. But like Florida: after the year they've had, it will feel a little hollow.

Prediction: FSU 56, Delaware State 3

Virginia at Miami

Maybe the thought of a hangover concerns you. After all, Miami was so good, and so fired up, in beating Notre Dame that it might leave a normal team lax.

Not this one, though. Miami has gotten better by the week. There is no reason to think Virginia can hang around very long.

Prediction: Miami 34, Virginia 6.

The Pros

Tampa Bay at Miami

If the Bucs play the way they did last week, they should be able to capture their first road win of the year. But that's the thing: There is no guarantee the Bucs will play that way.

There is some talent on the Dolphins' team. But the Bucs should be able to hold off Jay Cutler in the fourth quarter.

Prediction: Bucs 22, Dolphins 17
