He just got here. Maybe Logan Driscoll didn’t know he was supposed to shrink with a runner in scoring position.
Driscoll, a 25-year-old rookie, singled in the winning run in the Rays’ 3-1 victory over the Minnesota Twins Tuesday night.
Oh, for the rest of the Rays, it was business as usual. Except for Driscoll, the Rays were one-for-10 with potential runs in scoring position. But in the bottom of the fourth, Driscoll singled to right on an 0-1 pitch.

Starter Jeffrey Springs allowed just four hits in six innings and allowed only a home run to Carlos Santana. Garrett Cleavenger got the last out in the ninth for his fifth save.
