It isn’t just that the Rays finally swept someone.

It was also the guys holding the broom.

How about Randy Arozarena, who had two strikes, two outs and too bad of an afternoon as he stood at the plate in the bottom of the ninth inning? Arozarena, hitting .143, hit a 373-foot home run to tie the game.

And how about Johnny DeLuca, who faced an 0-2 count before hitting a game-winning triple in the bottom of the 10th? But DeLuca tripled to left-center to drive in two runs, leading the Rays to a 7-6 victory. The Rays are now 17-18 on the season. DeLuca, activated Friday, has six RBI in his first three games.

The Rays were resilient in their comeback, trailing 2-0 , 5-4 and 6-5. Tampa Bay lost starter Ryan Pepiot, who was struck by a line drive, in the third inning.

The Rays had a chance to win in the top of the 10th, but an error by Yandy Diaz allowed the Mets to score the go-ahead run.

Jose Caballero stole four bases for the Rays, giving him 13 for the year.

Diaz, Omed Rosario and DeLuca had two hits for the Rays. Tampa Bay had nine walks and stole seven bases.

The Rays are home at Tropicana Field tonight at 6:50 p.m. against the Chicago White Sox.
