Bucs lack of depth is exposed by Redskins

September 1, 2016 general

Thursday, 6 a.m. Say this for the Tampa Bay Bucs. They didn’t exactly make Dirk Koetter’s job harder, did they? For most of Wednesday night’s 20-13 loss to the Washington Redskins in the final preseason game for both, the rains of Hurricane Hermine seemed to wash away any pretense of depth that the Bucs’ had. […]

Other misfortunes could have happened here

August 31, 2016 general

Wednesday, 6 a.m. It could be worse. It could be awful. It could have been Jameis Winston who fell in agony, screaming in pain. It could have been Winston instead of the Vikings’ Teddy Bridgewater. It could have been Winston who is out for the year, and it could be the Bucs instead of the […]

Random Thoughts: Kaepernick has wrong target

August 28, 2016 general

Yeah, America has been simply awful to Colin Kaepernick. The problem isn’t that Kaepernick won’t stand for America. It’s that he hasn’t given his fans any reason to rise to their feet. – I’m all for athletes expressing themselves, and yes, there are problems. But this seems like Kaepernick has the wrong target. The anthem […]

Winston-to-Evans combo off to a good start

August 28, 2016 general

Sunday, 5:30 a.m. Say what you want about the way Tampa Bay took the Clevland Browns to school Friday night. It started with chemistry class. Suddenly, Jameis Winston and Mike Evans are clicking.
