In all likelihood, the USF folded in its shot at the college football players.

The Bulls, their porous defense exploited by Navy, lost a 41-38 game because of repeated defensive shortcoming against the Midshipmen.

The Bulls gave up a 76-yard touchdown run.

...And an 82-yard completion that set up another touchdown.

...And a 20-yard touchdown run.

...And a 64-yard touchdown run. The last two were by backup quarterback Braxton Woodson.

In all, Navy ran for 338 yards against the Bulls and 556 yards of total offense.

As usual, the Bulls' offense almost kept pace. Despite faling behind 24-9, the Bulls came back. Quarterback Byrum Brown had another good day, passing for 327 yards and two scores and ran for 136 yards and two more.

Receiver Jeremiah Kroger caught nine passes for 112 yards and a touchdown.

But the Bulls could not slow Navy down. Woodsom came off he bench to run for 103 yards. Alex Tecza ran for 126 yards and the 76-yard score.

The Bulls fell to 6-3 on the season and 4-2 in the American.

Ole Miss 34, Florida 24: The burning question about the Gators-Rebels game was this: Will the winner get to hoist Lane Kiffin?

It was as if both teams were trying to impress Kiffin, who both teams want to be their coach next season. When Florida held a four-point lead going into the fourth period, it was as if the Gators were auditioning for Kiffin. When Kiffin walked off the field to the chants of 'we want Lane,' it was if he was being serenaded for his team's 10-point win.

The Gators played well considering they're in a 3-7 season. But Ole Miss ran up 538 yards of offesne. Running back Kewan Lacy ran 31 times for 224. Quarttereback Trinidad Chambliss added 301 passig yards.
