For a guy who just got here, Logan Driscoll has shown signs that he wants to stay.
Driscoll, yet another Ray who is trying to end the perpetual shortcoming at catcher, is hitting just .235 in his rookie season, Still, he has had some moments. One of those was Friday night when Driscoll hit his first home run, a two-run shot in the third to spark the Rays to a 3-1 win over Cleveland.

Driscoll waited while the team went with Rene Pinto, and then when it played Alex Jackson. Neither was the answer to backing up Ben Rortvedt, however.
Maybe Driscoll can be the guy. He hit a 1-0 pitch 393 feet to give the Rays a lead they wouldn’t lose.
The Rays got a good start from Zack Littell, who went six innings of two-hit baseball for his seventh win against nine losses. Littell retired the final 11 batters he faced. Edwin Uceta worked the final 1 2/3 innings for his third save.
The Guardians had just four hits on the day. Tampa Bay was one-for-six with runners in scoring position while Cleveland was one-for-seven.
Jose Siri had two hits for the Rays.
The Rays will start Drew Rasmussen against Cleveland’s Joey Cantillo today at 6:10 p.m.
