Scot Brantley was an all-American linebacker for the University of Florida and played eight seasons with the Tampa Bay Bucs. He has been a radio host in Florida for years. He follows not only the Gators but all of college football. Each week, Scot answers your questions on GarySheltonsports.com. To ask Scot a question, you can leave it in the comments section or send an e-mail to GarySheltonsports@gmail.com.

What do you think of the recent decision by UAB to drop football despite the alumni financial promises? Hawaii has asked the state for $6 million to support its athletics program. Do you fear more small colleges might sacrifice their programs in the coming years?

It's tough all over America from a financial standpoint.  Most of the money are generated by top end alumni and donors. Without cash flow, regardless of size or popularity, some schools will fall. And if they fall they are not likely to return.
