This week, the Bucs re-signed Da’Quan Bowers, adding to a long list of disappointments the team has had at the defensive end position. From your days as a scout, what are the ingredients that make the successful defensive ends work and that the average ones are lacking?

One word: talent.

Saying that, you can’t just rely on your God-given ability. You also must possess the instincts that can’t be coached. You have to know when to make a move or counter with one.
