Let’s face it: When the Rays’ left-fielder is going like this, all of Tropicana Field is Randy Land.
Randy Arozarena evidently saw the 2024 season coming. He was at his best Saturday afternoon, reaching base three times, scoring three runs, stealing two bases and in general driving the Toronto Blue Jays crazy. He also hit his first home run of the season in the Rays’ 5-1 victory.

The Rays got a second straight impressive start, this time from Zack Littell, who went fsix innings and gave up four hits while pitching shutout baseball.
The Rays also got two hits from newcomers Jose Caballero and Amed Rosario.
Rosario singled Arozarena in in the third. Arozarena homered and Caballero hit a sacrifice fly to drive in Isaac Parades in the fifth. After Toronto scored in the seventh, Caballero bunted in Arozarena in the seventh and Yandy Diaz hit a sacrifice fly to right in the eighth to drive in Jose Siri.
The Rays (2-1) close out their series against Toronto today at 1:40 p.m. at Tropicana Field. Shawn Armstrong will open for Tampa Bay against Kevin Gausman
