As hot as they are, dare you ask the question?

Could the Tampa Bay Lightning be getting better?

The Bolts won their ninth straight game, overwhelming the Philadelphia Flyers, 7-2. The Lightning has scored 46 goals during their winning streak, giving up just 24.

Tampa Bay led just 2-1 after one period, and just 3-1 going into the third. The Bolts scored four times in the third period.

Nikita Kucherov had four points, two goals and two assists on the night. He has 21 goals on the season.

Gage Goncalves also had two goals. Also scoring were Nick Paul, Brandon Hagel, and Yanni Gourde.

Goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped 18 of 20 shots for his 18th win of the year.

The Lightning plays Philadelphia again Monday night at 7 p.m. at Xfinity Mobile Arena.
