Sunday, 3 a.m.

Maybe it isn't how you start. It's how you finish.

The USF Bulls stumbled out of the gate Saturday, fallling behind 14-0 on the road.

It didn't last. The Bulls exploded from there, winning 49-24 over Southern Miss. USF had 562 yards of total offense, including 369 rushing.

Kelley Joiner

had 117 yards rushing while Na'Qusn Wright had 105. Quarterback Byrum Brown threw for 193 yards and ran for 72.

The Bulls are home on Saturday against Miami at 7 p.m.

Texas A&M 33, Florida 20: Will the next loss in Gainesville be that of Billy Napier’s job?

Napier, the head coach of the Gators, has been on the hot seat since losing a blowout game to Miami in the opener. Saturday, it got to the point where fans were chanting “fire Billy” after the Aggies, who hadn’t won on the road since 2021, won easily with backup quarterback Marcel Reed.

The Gators ran for just 52 yards in the loss.

Napier is now 12-16 as coach of the Gators.

Florida travels to play Mississippi State on Saturday.

Memphis 20, FSU 12: This year, there will be no whining allowed from FSU fans who want to be in the post-season.

The Seminoles, 12-0 in regular season a year ago, fell to 0-3 with their loss to Memphis.

Seth Henigan threw for 272 yards and two touchdowns.

FSU averaged 1.5 yards per rush.

FSU is home Saturday against California.

Miami 62, Ball State 0: The Cam Ward Show kept rolling Saturday. Can anyone stop it?

Ward threw for 346 yards and five touchdowns to lead the Canes to an easy win. In three games this year, Ward has thrown for 1,034 yards and 11 scores.

Miami also got 104 yards rushing from Ajay Allen and 109 yards receiving from Jacolby

George.

The Hurricanes, now 10th in the nation, will visit USF on Saturday.
