There will be, of course, darker days than this.

There will be times when Jim McElwain loses, perhaps times when he picks the wrong quarterback, times when the offense doesn't look so snazzy, times when runners fumble and receivers stumble and officials bumble. No one goes undefeated in college football, and there are sure to be days of doubt in the seasons ahead.

For now, however, McElwain is the golden child. For now, he has restored the swagger and brought the offense home.
