Half of Nashville's shots against Vasilevskiy came in the first period.

As a team, the Bolts are 6-1 against Nashville this year.

The win allowed the Lightning to tie Carolina for the NHL Central Division lead. Despite their recent slump, the Bolts have now won two straight.

Saturday night, they got goals from Ross Colton, his seventh, from Erik Cernak and an empty netter from Yanni Gourde.

"He (Vasilevskiy) was big for us in the first period when we needed him," said coach Jon Cooper.

The Lightning plays against Nashville again on Tuesday night at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. The puck is scheduled to drop at 8 p.m.
