The offense wasn't very good. The defense could have been better.

All in all, however, FSU might have won their Friday night game if only they could catch a punt.

The Seminoles lost to N.C. State, 21-11, after botching a pair of punt returns.

The Seminoles, who have lost 10 straight games on the road, had closed to within 14-11 with 4:42 to play. Finally, FSU showed a bit of life.

But on their next series, N.C. State was forced to punt. Caden Noonkester kicked the ball just 25 yards. But the punt bounded off the helmet of K.J. Kirkland, and was recovered by Noonkester.

As if that wasn't bad enough, N.C. State had to punt again. This time, the punt was muffed by Squirrel White with 1:32 to play.

The second fumble set up N.C. State's clinching touchdown, a fourth down pass from C.J. Bailey to Justin Joly.

FSU is now 5-6 on the season. The Seminoles play at Florida on Nov. 29.
