One man’s belief system on Tampa Bay sports

I believe it. Of course, I'm a knucklehead, so there you go. Disbelieve if you wish.

I believe for every drop of rain that falls, a flower grows. That explains why we have such a pollen problem.

I believe Tom Brady really does think he's going to retire right now. But I believe he'll giggle at all the rumors out there.

I believe that the Lightning will lose in this year's semifinals. I believe I'll still think of it as Champa Bay.

If they ever play baseball again, I believe Wander Franco will be the best Ray ever.

I believe, when it's all said and done, they'll find out this about Antonio Brown. Yes, his ankle was injured. No, it didn't have anything to do with him demanding the ball, then refusing to go into the game. I believe Antonio has found his soul mate in Kanye West.

It hurts me to say this, but I believe Kevin Cash has done more than Joe Maddon. I believe Jon Cooper has done more than John Tortorella. But I still think that, considered the mess he inherited, Tony Dungy is still ahead of Bruce Arians.

I believe that if someone does know about the final days of Bruce Arians and Brady, it isn't Rich Ohrnberger. Then again, he works for Fox, where lying is considered career enhancement.

I believe that the Buc could do worse than Jameis Winston. And they probably will.

I believe that when it comes to Jimmy Garappolo and the Bucs, I'd do the querterback thing and pass.

I believe Joe Burrow will be a great quarterback, but I don't believe the Bengals will give him enough structure to make many more Super Bowls.

I believe I want my next contract from the folks at Michigan.

I believe Jason Pierre-Paul has some football left in him. I believe he'll play it somewhere else.

This has nothing to with masseuses, but something about trading for Deshaun Watson rubs me the wrong way.

I believe Chris Godwin will be much harder to sign long-term if the Bucs don't find a decent replacement for Brady.

You know, if he wins a third Stanley Cup, Jon Cooper just might get some support for Coach of the Year. Or maybe not.

I believe I'd keep Kevin Kiermaier, but it's not my money.

I believe Tommy Pham wants to return to the Rays. I believe he looks better in the rear-view mirror.

I don't believe it's a tragedy that the College Football Playoffs chose not to expand to 12 teams, which in most years would be about nine too many.

I believe that of the eight teams in the USFL, six sill have a better kick returner than the Bucs.

With Marty St. Louis as coach and Vinny Lecavalier in the front office, isn't there a spot on the Canadiens for Brad Richards?

I believe Brian Kelly will do well at LSU. I do not believe he will dance his way there.

I believe that the person who said the Bucs would trade for Carson Wentz should be drug-tested.

In a shocking development, I believe USF will miss bowl season again. I also believe the sky will remain blue.

I believe if I were ranking the Lightning players, I'd go 1) Andrei Vasilevskiy, 2) Nikita Kucherov; 3. Victor Hedman. I believe I'd listen if Brayden Point disagreeed.
