Looking back at the 2022 Tampa Bay Rays

5 Thoughts

  1. I'm not saying this is a bad hitting lineup, but if Kevin Cash were still playing, he'd hit cleanup.

2. No, the Rays have never made the playoffs with fewer victories. In fact, this is the 9th best regular season the team has had.

3. Overall, the Rays' pitching staff is pretty good. But they need to learn to hold an opponent to negative numbers.

4. David Peralta can go back to hitting home runs any day now. He used to do it all the time in Arizona.

5. Frankly, the Rays are better off with the third wild-card (possible opponents: Cleveland then New York) than they would be with the second (Toronto, Houston).
