Some day, they will lose again. Someday, the offense will go cold, or the opposing netminder will have a big night, or a dubious call will come at the wrong time, and they'll end up short on the scoreboard.

On the other hand, the way they're playing, it might be a while.

The Bolts won their 10th straight game Monday night, beating the Philadelphia Flyers 5-1. It was the Lightning's second straight win over the Flyers, and they've outscored Philadelphia 12-2 in the two games. They've scored 51 times in their 10-game streak.

The Bolts have won 11 straight games once, in 2020.

The Bolts, who also won the 600th game for coach Jon Cooper, scored three times in the second period and coasted behind backup goalie Jonas Johansson, who stopped 19 shots.

The Bolts took a quick lead just 70 seconds in the game on a goal by Pontus Holmberg.

In the second period, the Bolts scored goals by Jake Guentzel (his 20th), Brayden Point (11th) and Brandon Hagel (22nd). Point seemed to injure his right leg on his scoring play. when Philly's Cam York fell on it.

"The crazy thing (about the winning streak) is you need them because everyone in our division is winning," Lightning coach Jon Cooper said. "You real off 9-10 in a row and you don't feel like you've gained ground on anybody."

Nikita Kucherov scored an empty-netter for his 22nd goal.

The Bolts are in Pittsburgh to face the Penguins tonight at 7 p.m. at the PPG Paints Arena.
