At a time they should be charging toward the post-season, the Dallas Stars had a message for the Tampa Bay Lightning Tuesday night.

Wait a minute.

The Bolts, prepared to clinch their fifth straight post-season berth, were delayed by Dallas in a 1-0 defeat. Roope Hintz scored with 4:50 left for the game's only goal.

The Lightning have allowed two goals in regulation in the past three games, but are 1-1-1.

“It's unfortunate that we only have three points to show for it. That's tough,” coach Jon Cooper said. “Sometimes that can be frustrating. But if we're going to give up zero and one goal a game, I'll take our chances.”

It was the fifth loss in six games for the Bolts, who are 6-11 in their last 17 games.

Goaltendere Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped 28 of 29 shots. Vasilevskiy has lost four consecutive starts.

The Lightning begins a five-game homestand on Thursday night against Anaheim. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
