Could this be the start of another streak?
From the way the Tampa Bay Lightning looked Sunday afternoon, it's a possibility.
The Bolts looked sharp in a 4-1 victory over a slumping Stars' team Sunday at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
The Bolts, who had an 11-game winning streak snapped against St. Louis Friday, snapped back strong. They fell behind 1-0, then scored four straight.
Tampa Bay went 4-0-1 on their most recent road trip.
The Bolts had strong defense, solid goaltending and big plays from their stars in the victory. It was their 18th road win, as many as they had all or last year.
Dominic James tied the game midway through the fir period with his fourth goal. In the second period, Brandon Hagel scored his 23rd and Jake Guentzewl scored his 21st. Pontus Holmberg scored an empty-netter (his eighth goal) to establish the final margin.
Goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy faced just 20 shots, but he stopped 19 of them for his 20th win of the year.
"The thing I'm probably most proud of is that it's a two-goal game going into the third period and we held an exceptional team to two shots in the third period," Lightning coach Jon Cooper said.
The Bolts are back home at Benchmark International Arena on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. The puck drops at 7 p.m.
