The dreaded midseason slump has arrived for the Tampa Bay Bucs.

The Bucs dropped their third of four games Sunday, being walloped by the Buffalo Bills, 44-32. Josh Allen of the Bills ran for three touchdowns and threw for three more.

In the last two weeks, the Bucs have given up 72 points.

The Bucs, behind a strong running game, had a 32-31 lead late in the third quarter. Buffalo took over the fourth period, however, totalling 177 yards in the quarter. The Bucs, meanwhile, saw quarterback Baker Mayfield threw an interception and lose a fumble.

The Bucs came into the game determined to run the ball, getting 106 yards from Sean Tucker and 51 from Rachaad White. Both averaged more than five yards a carry.

Tucker ran for two touchdowns and caught a pass for another.

The Bucs got off to a quick start with two interceptions of Allen. But the Bills got a 43-yard touchdown pas, a 52-yard touchdown pass and a 25-yard touchdown pass.

Tampa Bay's lead in the NFC South, which seemed secure at one point, is down to a half-game over Carolina, which beat Atlanta 30-27 in overtime.

The Bucs travel to Los Angelos to play the Rams at 8:20 p.m.
