Reviewing Tampa Bay’s Rings of Honor

The first thing you need to establish about a Ring of Honor is that there are different standards for different teams.

Take the Pittsburgh Steelers, who opened their Hall of Honor in 2017. That year, the Steelers inducted 27 members. Twenty-three of them are in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Then there are the Bucs, who have 13 members in their Ring of Honor. Nine of them are not in the Hall of Fame.

And you know what? That's fine. A Ring of Honor, in my opinion, is for the fans to celebrate and honor the players who were special to them. You

can argue that John Lynch and Ronde Barber belong in the Hall of Fame; they are both obviously in the Ring of Honor.
