Turns out, it doesn't matter which side of the Atlantic Ocean the Tampa Bay Lightning plays the Buffalo Sabres.
The Lightning continued its domination of the Sabres Monday night in a 5-2 victory. Tampa Bay is now 22-4-2 in its last 27 games against Buffalo and has won six straight.
Tampa Bay is now 12-7-2 on the season. The Lightning has won six straight.
The Bolts got shorthanded goals from Cedric Paquette and Ondrej Palat in the win. They also got goals from Nikita Kucherov, Mikhail Sergachev ad Yanni Gourde. Goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy made 28 saves.
The Lightning is home against St. Louis Wednesday night. The puck drops at 7 p.m.
