These days, it’s hard to believe in the Lightning

in general, Tampa Bay Lightning

Stamkos and Lightning have sputtered all season.

Stamkos and Lightning have sputtered all season.

Friday, 6 a.m.

This is the reason you doubt. This is the reason you question. This is the reason you sigh and shake your head.

This why it is difficult for you to believe in the Tampa Bay Lightning.

They were ahead … and then they weren't.

They were ahead again … and then they weren't.

They were ahead yet again … and then they weren't.

Three times, the Lightning flirted with a big win on the road, with stopping their slide, with recapturing their momentum. And then it all slipped away. And then they were not good enough.

Again.

I’m not so sure they will still be playing in late April. And, if they choke job the next 11 games, you can bet that Stevie Y will change the chemistry of this team big time–which he may do anyway even if they make the playoffs. And John Cooper will officially be on the hot seat .
